Print & Sip: Botanical Tea Towel Workshop
June 22 2025 | 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM713 North 4th St, Philadelphia, PA 19123
Celebrate the arrival of the summer with an afternoon of nature-inspired artmaking at The Random Tea Room.
Using seasonal flowers, leaves, and dye plants, we’ll create botanical prints on tea towels using a simple leaf and flower pounding technique also known as tatakizome or hapazome—capturing the color and beauty of the longest days of the year.
As we create, sip summer herbal infusions complementing the plants we are working with. Everyone will leave with a hand-printed tea towel: a functional piece of botanical art!
No experience necessary just curiosity and a love for plants and color. All ages welcome. All materials provided. Space is limited.

Over the next year as the artist-in-residence at the Random Tea Room, I’m thrilled to share the creative practices that inspire me to connect with myself, nature, others, and the inner muse. Together, we’ll explore creativity, solve small process puzzles, and simply play. Join me for journaling, weaving, mending, natural dyeing, and plenty of tea and plant magic! Your presence makes this journey possible—so bring your muses, and let’s share tea and inspiration.
